Kombucha SCOBY with Starter Liquid

Grown with quality green tea, organic sugar and pH ballanced filtered water. We do not use vinegar or any artificial flavours in our buch. Brew your own Kombucha at home for a fraction of the market cost. Flavor it exactly how you like it.

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Clean and sanitise your brewing jar with Iodophor. Let it drain and dry.
• Take 1.8 liter of filtered water in a pan and add 100g of sugar, stir to mix and bring it to boil.
• Once the water starts boiling, add 2 teaspoons or 2 teabags of green or black tea and turn off the stove. Cover and let it cool to room temperature. (Or give the pot a cool water bath to speed things up. Make sure water doesn't get inside the pot)
• Add SCOBY and starter liquid to the jar. Top it up with the cooled tea you made earlier.
• Cover the mouth with a closely woven cloth and tie it firmly with  a string or a rubber band.
• Fight the temptation to open the jar for 3 to 7 days (depending on weather and room temperature) until you see a new SCOBY form.
• Bottle and let carbonate for 2 days then transfer to fridge to enjoy it cold. Or mix your favourite fruits and herbs to flavour the buch.

PLEASE NOTE:

• NEVER use untreated water to brew kombucha. Chlorine in  tapwater can kill the SCOBY.
• Shape, texture and color of SCOBY may vary slightly from time to time This has nothing to do with SCOBY's health.
