Epsom Salt or Magnesium Sulfate has long been used to relive stress, body aches and itches. Food grade Epsom Salt is used to treat brewing water, supply Magnesium for yeast nourishment and reduce pH for a healthy fermentation.
PRODUCT INFO
Higher ratio of sulphates to chlorine in water helps extract higher aroma content from hops. This is beneficial in IPA style beers.
However too much sulphates also results in higher extraction of hop alpha oils and increasing bitterness(IBU) in beer.
