Food grade Gypsum is used as a water additive in brewing. Gypsum is also industrially important as a component of cement. It is also known as "Paster of Paris" in Asia.
PRODUCT INFO
Gypsum has to IONs: Calcium and Sulphate.
- Calcium is important as yeast nutrient while sulphates contribute to higher percieved maltiness in malt-centric beers.
- Gypsum also helps reduce pH of brewing water and support yeast health.
